With the standard head on my '29 pickup I had autolite 3076 spark plugs. Should I move to different plugs with HC head?

I use stock A plugs on my 5.5 with no problems.

Yes, stock. You may want to not run as much spark advance.

By the length of porcelain on that plug I would think it would be pretty hot. How does it read?

The plug color looks normal to me, runs fine with Snyder high compression head
