5.5 high compression head

With the standard head on my '29 pickup I had autolite 3076 spark plugs. Should I move to different plugs with HC head?

I use stock A plugs on my 5.5 with no problems.

Yes, stock. You may want to not run as much spark advance.

I have very good results with Champion W16Y plugs in my 5.5.

Has anyone used a Champion W89D plug? A local "A expert" said to use this plug, used by hill-climb racers? It is a much longer electrode plug for industrial applications, not Model A. I have put about 2000 miles on them so far so good.

By the length of porcelain on that plug I would think it would be pretty hot. How does it read?

The plug color looks normal to me, runs fine with Snyder high compression head
