Frame spreader plans
A while back I found some plans for building a simple frame spreader basically out of square tube and angle. I'm sure that I printed it off but now can't find the print or the site I found it on. Any direction as to where to find it or plans to build one would be appreciated.

Here you go. I made the frame spreader shown in the last three pictures using the dimensions shown in the first 6 pictures. It works very well.

I used a '56 Chevy bumper jack.

I found a quick, cheap, and easy solution at my local Home Depot. They sell post jacks in just the right size to fit between the Model A frame. This is the type of adjustable post that you see holding up the ceiling in old basements. I also used it to straighten my frame. It was between $20-$30. Most big box home improvement stores should have these.

Here's my frame spreader with offset for the transmission clearance. It's 24 inches long, 6 inch legs (2 inch sq. tube, 1 inch plate). Frame plates are 3 5/8" x 4 1/2". Frame pads have 1/4" rubber. !/2" x 4" tap bolts one inch on center from bottom. Yes, I've installed many engines with greasing, prying, cussing, etc. but this eliminates that.
