I have a 1940 ford business coupe.
These were in the pile of loose parts. What are they and where do they go on the car?? Thanks, Randall |

I am not familure with the 40 coupe bodies, but they look like inner trunk supports that would go inside the quarter panels. I am sure someone will know for sure. Rod

Look similar to the shock tower to firewall braces on early 64.5-66 mustangs. I am not aware of Ford using clip nuts or or making extensive use of shouldered nuts (built in washer) during the flathead era.

Yes, you guys were correct.
These are for a 1964 t - bird, not for the 40 at all. Thank you again for your expertise. Randall |

If they are about 19" long at the longest point,
then they will also fit the 1st gen Mustangs. click on pic to Enlarge ![]()
