Need to know what these are

I have a 1940 ford business coupe.

These were in the pile of loose parts.

What are they and where do they go on the car??

Thanks,

Randall

Re: Need to know what these are

I am not familure with the 40 coupe bodies, but they look like inner trunk supports that would go inside the quarter panels. I am sure someone will know for sure. Rod

Re: Need to know what these are

Look similar to the shock tower to firewall braces on early 64.5-66 mustangs. I am not aware of Ford using clip nuts or or making extensive use of shouldered nuts (built in washer) during the flathead era.

Re: Need to know what these are

Yes, you guys were correct.

These are for a 1964 t - bird, not for the 40 at all.

Thank you again for your expertise.

If they are about 19" long at the longest point,
then they will also fit the 1st gen Mustangs.
