Default Repro Spring Shackle Bushings

I bought some spring shackle bushings from Brattons and the ID is larger than the worn ones on there now. The wall of the repro bushings is thinnner. I have NOS shackles and they are a sloppy fit with the repro bushings. Does anyone have some NOS bushings to mic the OD & ID?

Try www.a-springs.com They have brand new springs and bushings that are excellent quality.

I would suggest you give Walt Bratton a call, 800-255-1929. Ask to speak with Walt. He would want to hear about this and will certainly take steps to resolve the issue. He may have some recent stock from a supplier that is not correct. I have been buying rear shackle bushings from Bratton's for years and have never had a problem with them.

If you are talking about the front shackles, I had a similar issure. Apparently there is more than one version of the Model A front shackle perch. What I did was buy a number of rear shackle bushings from Bratton's and had a friend cut the length down on his lathe.

On the front ends I have restored the shortened rear shackles fit the front correctly.

It's the front shackles.
Other than length, is there a difference between front and rear?

Does anyone have any NOS bushings they are willing to part with?

On the several front ends I have restored I found that the shackle bushings were the same, except the fronts are shorter than the rears, I bought about a dozen rear shackle bushings from Bratton's and had them shortened by a friend who has a lathe.
