I was helping a friend take apart an old rusty model A and the engine had "Wizard" spark plugs (they look as old as the car). What's the history on those? Just wondering.
Thanks for your time. Marty |

Don't know the history but when I got my 28 chrysler to restore there were 4 in it, and to my suprise they look like the spitfire plug with the duel electro, so I figure the duel electro isn;t new! I still have them and did use them for awhile till I got new one to put into my rebuilt engine. It looks to me that everything repeats its self.

In a pile of "stuff" I collected a while back there was a set of four Blue Crown Husky spark plug, new and still in their boxes. I think I will run them in Tillies new engine jus' 'cause i think they look unique.

I've seen some wizards, but haven't heard much about them aside from when you are at full throttle, no one will be a ble to get around you..
something about "You shall not pass!!" (lol) a little 'Lord of the Rings' humor there.. I personally run Blue Crowns.. They had the most even resistance readings across the group of plugs, so I went with them - Dave |

Wizard definitely was a Western Auto brand. I remember from working at my Dad's Western Auto store in St. Marys, Ohio at age ten to fourteen.
