Default Mallory points

Does anyone have a source for points that work in Mallory distributors?

I'd be surprised if Mallory didn't use points from a production car in their distributors. Find out which car and your job should be much easier. Failing that, I'm sure it would be possible to graft in a set of more readily available points. I have just received a deceased estate of stuff from a mechanical workshop. It included about a dozen Bosch (good stuff) points, all the same number. With a little work, I grafted them into an original Model A distributor. I doubt I will wear out one set, let alone that many.

He logged in last April 1st according to his profile. I'll look and see if I have any other contact information for him.

Try FleaBay
I have a very early Mallory that uses the pop out ignition. The points are unobtainable. I bought some Phenolic sheet and a set of V8 points to create a couple sets for this restoration. Luckily there was one set I can copy.

If you have an original set of points the on is stamped on the vert stationary tab
25042 sounds about right for non dual point
I forget pn of booster point

Glynn, If you were asking me what part number, I used Bosch GB354 points. They are not a straight swap over. I had to use my noodle a bit to get things right. If you want to know the ins and outs, contact me.

Mallory have a part number on them. The old two piece cap ones use 24205 which are like hens teeth and cost about US$50 if you can find them.

A google search shows lots of " Standard Ignition Company part#25042" available, but pricey.
