Default Looking for this DIFFICULT to locate part - do you have it?

1955 Ford Fairlane Club Sedan - need the "L" shaped stud (upside down L anyway) that allows the vent window to pivot. These things are known to rot out. Every last vent window assembly in my stash - all were rotted away to just about nothing.

Passenger side or Driver side, either will fit. See the diagram.

Let me know if you have one or where I could purchase one off the shelf.

Thanks fellas

Below is a blow-up of your ILL.

Hopefully it will show large enough to view properly. The part you are describing, is there a BASIC PN with an arrow pointing to it?

Your car is a 1955 FAIRLANE TUDOR CLUB SEDAN (70C)?

I looked too; can't find that it was serviced separately but only as part of the frame. Not sure of any aftermarket sources for it.

Carpenter has a few listed but for pickups or Broncos. Not sure it they would work or could be modified. Here's one:

Went and looked at my stash and every frame I have does not have that part on it. I guess I cannibalized them to make up the two good ones.

I am assuming you are looking for the vertical pin that the window rides on. There are few swap meets coming up next month and I can look for you. It may mean getting the whole window if you are good with that. When they get close I can PM you my number so if I find one I can call you.

My avatar had the same part issue. I was able to get one from Shoebox Central-405 259 9222. From the ilustration it appears to be identical. Good luck!

WOW!

Ask and ye shall receive... you guys are on this, much appreciated. My passenger side vent window is "just a floppin' in the wind" so I need to replace this broken stud/bracket to make Mama happy.

Yes, a 70C - 1955 Fairlane Tudor Club Sedan. There is no arrow pointing as far as I can see. I will have to check my other manual to see if I can locate an actual part number.

I will contact Shoebox

At one time Restoration Specialties (PA) had some of these. Try them

Is that a part that is likely to be re-engineered from year-to-year?

Hotrod..............Mine was actually for the rear quarter window but I think they are the same L piece. Careful with glass as I broke mine putting the glass back into the frame! AAArgh!!

If it is the wing glass frame pivot pin you are after, it was offered only as an assembly (frame incl glass) from FOMOCO -

B5A 7021406-A (RH)
B5A 7021407-A (LH)

Be careful here if searching EvilBay as there is one offered but the seller has the PN listed incorrectly. His has a BASIC PN (shown) 7621407 (LS) which is for a HDTP or CONV.

We have your back REVEREND, and as for myself, the lightening strikes are getting closer ...
