Over the past month I did a major engine facelift. I had a few leaks in the radiator and needed to remove it to get them fixed. With the radiator out it allowed me to get at the engine to clean and paint it without removing it. I removed all of the accessories and started to degrease the engine. I wanted to get the transmission done as well but just ran out of time and have other things I need to get done.
New parts included a lower coolant pipe, hoses, fan and miscellaneous hardware like manifold studs and exhaust clamp. Everything else was cleaned and painted. I'm extremely happy with how everything turned out. The water pump had a piece break off at some point in it's life. It didn't cause any leaks. I repaired the crack and rebuilt it with a leak less kit from Brattons. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk Last edited by rrich1; 03-21-2020 at 04:14 PM. |
