I would find a 46 to 48 coil, Have Skip rebuild it and mount it
on the head with a 46 coil bracket. You will need a 32 to 48 resistor. G.M.

What G.M. said. I have never been happier with my original Ford coils rebuilt by Skip. I'm in no way affiliated just a satisfied customer that likes to support small business.

Just another option. I have been buying all the reasonably priced Mallory coils (6 and 12 volt) that I can find. I have checked them all out and they have all tested good but one, and that one was a "Magspark" unit. I sent three of the cleanest ones to Skip to be tested more rigorously, and he said they were all good to go. I'm an 8BA guy and like to run old Mallory dual points so the coils fit right in. I've never had a problem with any I have run. I prefer "The Best Coil I Ever Made", but they have gotten right spendy over the last couple of years. Lately I have been finding the "FlashFire" coils for less than $10. They fit in with the look I am going for. Just remember the black ones are 6 volt and the red ones are 12 volts.
