Default 8BA and 59Ab oil pans, difference ?

Is there any difference between the 8BA oil pan and the 59AB pan. The only thing different I can see is the fitting for the oil filter return line on the 8BA. Thank you Fordbarners.

They are totally different.
Starters bolt to the 59A pan; 8BA uses a separate starter plate.
The 59A pan covers the clutch/flywheel; 8BA covers just the crankcase.
The 59A pan only comes in two rear sump designs; a one piece car/lt.truck and a HD truck version with a removable lower section to allow clutch/flywheel removal without dropping the pan.
8BA/CM/RT pans have at least 6 different designs with center and rear sumps.
The link below should help understand the many oil pan differences.

The 59ab has interal lower bellhousing, the 8ba has the lower part of the rear seal in it, no bellhousing

The 59a also has a built in road draft for crank case ventilation.

Thank you. I see now that I actually have 2 59AB pans, not exactly the same, and no 8BA.

Starting in '35, the pans had the front passenger-side vent that allowed road draft ventilation, so '35-'48 (except '48 8RT truck) pans were all very similar except for the two piece truck pans.

The 8BA family of engines have three distinctly different versions of oil pan & pickup tube and all three have different variations.
