Default Sun EB5 Transmitter

I acquired an early Sun EB5 transmitter for my Model A RC2 tachometer. I have wired up a small power supply circuit to replace the internal battery(batteries?). I am replacing all the capacitors inside the transmitter with new ones, but I found only one soldered in battery inside. This transmitter is for a 6 volt/4 cylinder application. Most of the diagrams I have found show two 1.35V mercury batteries. This one looks like it just had one but I have one way to know for sure. Does anyone know if this transmitter uses one or two 1.35V batteries??????
