Default float a motor

31 pickup.... last fall I bought a fam kit from a guy at an antique engine ant tractor show.(a bargain aint always a bargain) it was in the original box and I got it for a good price. I installed the engine today in the bare chassis. every thing went well till I got to the rubber block. there is a package of bolts and nuts still sealed and a piece of flat bar with two counter sunk holes but no yolk or what ever is supposed to be there. the directions don't have a picture of the rear mount. is this rear mount really necessary? if I knew what the yolk looks like I could probably fabricate one any suggestions.
