float a motor 31 pickup.... last fall I bought a fam kit from a guy at an antique engine ant tractor show.(a bargain aint always a bargain) it was in the original box and I got it for a good price. I installed the engine today in the bare chassis. every thing went well till I got to the rubber block. there is a package of bolts and nuts still sealed and a piece of flat bar with two counter sunk holes but no yolk or what ever is supposed to be there. the directions don't have a picture of the rear mount. is this rear mount really necessary? if I knew what the yolk looks like I could probably fabricate one any suggestions.

Re: float a motor Sounds like the engine hoist I bought off Craigs list. New, never assembled. Except -- there were no bolts to assemble it with. $70 later, I had it all put together!

It would be fiddly but I'm sure that you could fabricate one once you had seen a picture or better still, have a look at a club member's car with one fitted |

Re: float a motor yep! it looks like I got everything but the yolk. anybody got an extra one laying around? I know the guy I bought it from and I may try to contact him and see if it just got out of the box and may be still be in his stuff.
that might be hard to fab up. |

Re: float a motor I would be interested, let me know more about acquiring it. I have everything but the yoke. every thing else was with what I got. can't understand why just the yoke is missing. I know the guys name I got it from if I can find his phone #.
