Have you searched the archives? It's been discussed several times, including just recently.
I don't know how to que it. I can't seem to find it, but I know it's there. Sorry Last edited by Chuck Sea/Tac; 12-03-2014 at 11:55 PM. |

Thanks Guys as I have the transmissions I'm thinking the Mitchel is nice but costly. I have a rebuilt engine of unknown origin (just purchased the A) the engine just does not feel right. very high degree of vibration. I plan to pull the transmission and check the flywheel also check the top bearing on the drive shaft and u joint. Compression is 100lbs with a high compression head. Has an FSI ignition. I have been playing around with the timing using a vacuum gauge and my ear. however I think the rough running is a static balance problem. May install the cut down flywheel clutch combo and the 39 top loader while it's apart the top drive shaft bearing. Never did a drive shaft bearing in an A will do some research first.
