My Introduction
I posted a couple of questions and figure it was time to introduce myself . My dad has had a 1930 Model A for quite some time now . It`s his pride and joy . Well this past Saturday I got the Brake shaft put back in as it needed the bushings on the ends . He wanted to drive it , but being 94 years old it is getting to much for him to handle . Told me to get in and take him for a ride . First time for me to drive a Model A , took a little getting use to , but once I got use to it I did not want to stop , it was a great new adventure for me , plus seeing the joy it brought to his face knowing his old gal was on the road again made me very happy . Well we got back to house , in one piece , and as I was getting out of the car he said hold on . Then he says , I am now a new owner of a Model A . Only thing he made me promise was to keep it as it is , meaning not to make it into a hot rod , I told him I could never do that as he is part of the car . Anyways this is how I became a new owner of a 1930 Model A . You will be seeing plenty of me around here , mostly on the weekends as that is when I will be working on the old gal .
I am from Boston Mass , work for the railroad for 22 years , retire in about 4 years or so , will be moving to a small town north of Boston called Ipswich in the next year or so .
