My Introduction

I posted a couple of questions and figure it was time to introduce myself . My dad has had a 1930 Model A for quite some time now . It`s his pride and joy . Well this past Saturday I got the Brake shaft put back in as it needed the bushings on the ends . He wanted to drive it , but being 94 years old it is getting to much for him to handle . Told me to get in and take him for a ride . First time for me to drive a Model A , took a little getting use to , but once I got use to it I did not want to stop , it was a great new adventure for me , plus seeing the joy it brought to his face knowing his old gal was on the road again made me very happy . Well we got back to house , in one piece , and as I was getting out of the car he said hold on . Then he says , I am now a new owner of a Model A . Only thing he made me promise was to keep it as it is , meaning not to make it into a hot rod , I told him I could never do that as he is part of the car . Anyways this is how I became a new owner of a 1930 Model A . You will be seeing plenty of me around here , mostly on the weekends as that is when I will be working on the old gal .

I am from Boston Mass , work for the railroad for 22 years , retire in about 4 years or so , will be moving to a small town north of Boston called Ipswich in the next year or so .

Nice story and nice reply to his query.

Wish my Dad was still around to see my Model A back on the road. (Eventually I'll put up our picture with my truck as avatar.)

Be sure to get over to Woodman's in Essex and get some REAL New England Fried Clams. Certain people have been known to drive in from out of state just to go to Woodman's. The Clam Box in Ipswich is good too - although there have been reports that Clam Box is part of the Moonie (Unification Church) Empire.

And welcome to our club.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone , I will get a picture of us together this weekend next to car and share with you all . And Joe K , a little secret of mine try J T farnham`s clam shack just up the road , I believe they have better fried clams , just my opinion , and not as much of a tourist trap as woodmans .

Please......

For fried clams, Harry's in Westboro, Red Wing in Foxboro, or Cream & Cone in Chatham.

Jeff,
Very nice posts here. So nice that you could enjoy it with your father. I have a 1930 Tudor that I enjoy here in NC.
