How does one go about installing a female dovetail assembly in a 36 Ford pickup. I did some research and it appears that models prior to and after 36 hold the assembly in with rivets or screws. It appears the 36 is welded on the backside of the pillar and I cannot get at it.
I need a new assembly installed and not just the metal aligning pins. |

Remove the upholstery to gain access.

Note that some 1937-38 had plastic jaws. These have a different shape than the metal ones and are available reproduction from vendors who care. |
