Default Prefered Exhaust/Intake gasket style?

What is everyones preferred way to sealing between the block and the intake/exhaust manifolds?
Plain gasket as Henry did it?
Gasket used with gland rings?
Copper gasket?
Copper gasket with gland rings built in?
2 separate gaskets?
1 big gasket?
Use that tacky spray coppercoat gasket sealer?
Etc...

I saw there were many many options and just kinda curious as to what seems to be the most reliable and what better place to ask than here!
