why two valves included in kits, one short and a long one , i use the short one, what carb takes the long valve and why ?

I think the second one is a spark valve for the later carbs.

The kits are usually made to work on all carbs from '39 through '56 Fords.
The spark valves were used from'54 through '56. Make sure you install the correct one, since they are spring loaded in opposite directions. Sal |
