Australia was more into these vehicles ie Customlines, and their ute variations.
Plenty more supply of varoius bits across the ditch.
Rubber Connection in Australia caries a good amount of parts....

I would suggest contacting: Charlie Swendler who does a great job with the GMC distributor conversions which should assist with your situation. I have a 8BA with a Max 1 cam running one of his set...

So I finally took delivery of the 55 Customline.
Rechecked the height front and rear.
Front Headlight centre to floor: 840mm.
Rear: Tail light centre to floor: 860mm.
Sitting on Cooper tyres 205...

Previous owner had this work done. Looks ok maybe still sitting a little high.

Apreciate your detailed info. The spare is a non O/drive unit out of a 56.
The 55 with the O/Drive I owned around 13 years ago. Let it go but now contacted the owner and he is ready to let it go...

Will be purchasing a 55 Ford Customline fitted with overdrive, factory.
There is a spare gear box with the car. Would this gearbox work with this set up provided this spare gearbox is a stock one?...

1938 Deluxe Coupe with original fitted shocks.
Have unmounted left rear shock to check operation and adjust for stiffer movement via the needle valve adjusring screw.

Perhaps they were running an electric fuel pump. And mechanical pump removed and isolated.
