Re: Removing female dovetail assembly on 39 Conv

Hahaa. Never mind. I see how the innards come out now. I still need to tig up the lower edge of the opening and straighten that up, but I should be able to do that with the housing still in place.

Removing female dovetail assembly on 39 Conv

As the title states, I need to remove the dovetail assemblies in the b pillar on my 39 Conv. I know I’ll have to drill the rivets out, but I don’t see a way to get it out of the b pillar once it’s...

Re: 37 coupe RTS T-170 swap!

I had to weld up the rear mount area on the tailhousing and re drill and tap it, so I could narrow it enough to where it would slide backwards into the open area to clear the clutch. Of course that...

Re: 37 coupe RTS T-170 swap!

Here’s how I modified my 39 with the body off of course. I wanted to be able to easily pull the trans if I had to from the top side.

Re: Rotisserie recommendations

I second that on the Whirly Jig. A little costlier than some, but I've been well pleased with mine. I have had it since 2006.

Ever seen these?

A friend of mine brought these by today trying to find out something about them. They are new still in what’s left of the box. Has anyone ever seen a set of these?

Re: remote oil filter, 59 ab, 36 coupe

I would suggest some 45* fittings in the housing so you can mount it vertically. Less mess when you’re changing the oil. Then add a stone shield as you had planned and you should be good to go.

Re: Front Fenders and Seat ID needed. 1939 Mercury or?

Merc fenders are noticeably longer from the rear of the wheel opening to the running board due to the Mercury’s longer wheelbase.

Looking for a donor dash or just the section around the gauge area to repair a hacked up 39 convertible dash. I’d buy a whole dash or just a section.
