Re: 51 Ford 4dr seat

Thanks, that does help. I have a friend who has a 53 Tudor in his grove. Good chance it is still there. He got it from me so I hope I am still a friend.... :)

Re: 51 Ford 4dr seat

Thanks for the reply. I do have a lead to a frame with springs from a 52 F1 but I don't want to tear things apart right away if they are not the same as the 51 4dr. I have enough unfinished...

51 Ford 4dr seat

Is a 1948-52 F1 pickup front seat cushion the same as a 51 4dr Sedan front seat cushion?

My sedan seat needs rebuilding.

Any Flathead clubs in the Rapid City SD area?

I have a son in Rapid with a 47 Coupe that needs a bit of work and I am 500 miles away. Are there any clubs or old Ford guys hanging around with a lot of knowledge there?

Re: What is this serial number about?

Does this number match the number on your title or the number on your engine?

Re: Cell Phone Holder

Good to know. At 85 it is easy to bring back the old technology from memory. But I am glad to see that the tiny little guys are finally getting good jobs!
But where can they buy tiny little chalk...

Re: 47 steering gear parts in Model A box?

Thanks, good info.

I just ordered a shortened Pitman from Snyder's, but now it is $75 if you include shipping. Times change, eh?
One of the things I learned in this exercise is to fine tune...

Re: 47 steering gear parts in Model A box?

OK, I was finally able to take a close look at the 47 box I now have. It did come out of a 47 pickup so it is probably not an F1. It also has the same 4-bolt cap on the end as the Model A and it...

Re: 47 steering gear parts in Model A box?

OK, so not many people are experts in the innards of the gearbox other than the rebuilding and adjustment projects. I always seem to have questions on things nobody else even thinks about. My wife...

47 steering gear parts in Model A box?

I am upgrading my 1930 Model A steering gearbox to a 1947 gearbox.
First, can the Model A light switch be attached to the end of the 1947 gearbox or will I have to rig up a 1947 switch on the...

Re: Electric Model A's

Sorry, I can't say anything nice about gutting out the heart of a Model A. Keep the hood down and it looks like a nice Model A.... before the repainting job. Reading the original post actually...

Re: Can 12V horn from '50s' be adapted for 6V system?

Thanks, Eagle43. I ordered a 6V to 12V converter shipped to my door for less than $10.

It was kind of fun to read all the posts here though. I understand why 6V-12V-6V gets mixed up. Most...

Can 12V horn from '50s' be adapted for 6V system?

Been looking for a cheap 6V beep horn but have 12V horn. Can the 12V horn be converted to 6V and still have the same volume ??

Re: Slow starter

I think a combination of things was the problem. Old battery that would not hold a charge. Jumper cables for 12Volt were used but they are thinner and won't carry the amps required for 6Volt. They...

Gotta be the skin-on-sausage. Highest source of cholesteral. Need more beer. I am 85 now so I know everything. Except I keep falling over now. Gotta cut down on the beer.

About two years ago my 1930 Model A Tudor in fine shape with new inserted motor running nice went on the market for $12,500 and had over 2,000 inquiries but only one looker. Heavy on "LOOKER"... I...

1953 Ford Pickup - 6 cylinder fuel pump

Ok, so this is not a Flathead V8 but the 1953 Ford Pickup also came with a six cylinder motor. I know, it looks weird sitting where a V8 should be but hey, it is still a Ford even though it has some...

Re: 1939 Lincoln 4-door value

"have more in them than they are worth.." Hmmm.... seems to me that I have heard that before. Oh yeah, my wife said it. More than once!

Re: 1939 Lincoln 4-door value

Sold both for $2000 each, plus cleaning out her garage so she can use it again. Bodies were pretty good with little to no rust and interiors were there, engines questionable. Thanks for all the...
