Just retard the spark a tad until you get no more pinging. The plugs look fine. I set my gap a bit closer (In model A) to .025, but I think that is the setting for a B engine.

Use the plug sold for that application. The housing is unlikely to have been modified.

They used to, and maybe still do, sell rubber (type) gasket for the headlight reflector to rim gaskets.

Add some powdered stop leak like Alumaseal or such. It will not clog the radiator if you follow the label and will stop the seep. But do check the head bolt torque.

If you are just moving it around the property yes remove the plugs to make it easier. Add a squirt of oil into the cylinders.

Nobody mentioned that grease or other contaminants on the linings or drum can cause this to happen, especially when first using the brakes.

The throwout bearing most likely is the type that will not take grease and the fitting is only there to lube the bearing collar. Why not leave it as is and just give it a few drops of heavy oil now...
