Re: 35 Ford pickup radiator and support rods

Yes, the 35 bracket has only one hole, but, the replacement brackets have holes for both 35 and 36. In that case, the rear hole is for the 35 and the forward hole is for 36.

Re: 35 Ford pickup radiator and support rods

Thanks for the replies. The top tank on my radiator looks slightly different from the back than is shown in your picture. The fan clearance arc looks like it was stamped with a filleted radius...

35 Ford pickup radiator and support rods

I'm still working on my 35 pickup and ran across a thread from June 2020 regarding the radiator on 35 cars. How much of the information in that post is applicable to pickups? My radiator appears to...

Re: 35 Pickup grill

Thanks for the replies. Mercman's picture (and others I have seen online) appear to show that the grill should be straight along that edge. There is a slight bulge on the outside of that area which...

35 Pickup grill

I am working on the grill for my 35 pickup that appears to have been used to bulldoze a fence at the lower crossbar. Can anyone tell me if it should be straight along the front edge?

Re: Brake pedal bracket

Yes, a die grinder made quick work of opening the hole to fit along with a couple of new holes drilled. The brake pedal lines up nicely with the slot for it in the toe board as well.

Re: Brake pedal bracket

Thanks for the replies. Although I don't like the idea of putting a washer between the bracket and the frame to fill the space that is what I am probably going to do. I am installing an automatic...

Brake pedal bracket

I am converting a 1935 pickup to hydraulic brakes and have acquired the brake pedal and bracket from a 1941 model. While my X-member is flat in the mounting area the bracket only makes contact on...

Re: 35 Ford pickup radiator

Thanks Don. I read somewhere that the rod diameter is 5/16". Does that mean that the threads at the "nut" end is 5/16 and the threads at the "carriage bolt head" end is 3/8?

35 Ford pickup radiator

I have two questions related to the radiator for a 35 Ford pickup. 1) What is the correct length of the support rods that run from the radiator to the cab? 2) Walker lists a rad for the 35, is the...

Re: 35 pickup grill repair

That's what I suspected, I will try to remove those rods and hammer up some replacement inserts. What is the size of the hole for the crankshaft, how wide the sides and how high from the bottom of...

Re: 35 Ford pickup cab number

Browsing through old threads I suspect I may have found the answer to my question. The older thread refers to 1937 vehicles however I wonder whether it would apply to 1935 as well? ...
