Re: 276 stroker from 35 years of parts

When I did my 8ba, only anti seize on the bolts and #2 Permatex on the water pump gaskets, pump side only. Others may have different thoughts.

Re: 1954 Ranch Wagon rear hatch lock cylinder removal

Thanks. I figured out that a passenger car trunk lock cylinder and a wagon tailgate lock cylinder are different although very similar in appearance. I found a NOS unit on Ebay. Of course more $$ than...

Re: 1954 Ranch Wagon rear hatch lock cylinder removal

Good news and bad news. Got the cylinder out but it was damaged in the process. New cylinders are available for '54 trunks. They looked the same as the wagon tail gate but not positive. Anyone know...

Re: 1954 Ranch Wagon rear hatch lock cylinder removal

The shop manual I have lists info for the trunk but not a wagon. But I'll give it a try later today. With the key turn 1/4 turn clockwise and push the release button with a piece of wire.

Re: 276 stroker from 35 years of parts

Don't know about a T-5 but the 302/AOD combo that's going in my '54 Ranch Wagon had a similar counter balance tab. it was in the way of the cross member I made. I asked about it over on the HAMB and...

1954 Ranch Wagon rear hatch lock cylinder removal

Getting ready to send parts to be chromed including the handle that opens the rear hatch/tailgate. I have it off and there is a small hole I think is to insert a pin punch or something similar that...

Re: Anyone in Florida heading to Auburn to the Central Meet?

Sounds like it should fit in a USPS medium flat rate box. If not a large box for sure.Send it to Pat/Ohio. Problem solved.

Re: rockers on 57 wagon

Some photos would help. The rockers on my '54 Ranch Wagon were rusty but I didn't think they were all that bad but they were. EMS had the outer and inner panels.

Edit:
Don't know if your wagon...

Re: ideas welcome for 6v unobtrusive license plate lamp

Eckler's list some LED bolt lights but its unclear if they are 6 volts. The listing shows 6 volts but no where in the specs does it say so. Not a fan of Eckler's but it might be worth a phone call.

Re: Did a 1929 Ford station wagon in California use passenger or commercial license p

My current '39 p/u has YOM passenger car plates. Just pay the YOM fee and the weight fees and everything is fine. Also had two '40 Ford big trucks with passenger car YOM plates same thing no issues.

Van Pelt sells the bolts individually if you can't source enough elsewhere.
