Re: 276 stroker from 35 years of parts

You have a lathe, forget hacking an old socket, make the bushing/spacer you need on the lathe. Darn kids...you gotta teach em everything.

Re: 276 stroker from 35 years of parts

Obviously the "non natives" don't understand how important old Ford projects are for mental health and general well being.

Re: Early Ford emergency brake cable guide tube replacement.

I've done it, just used a flairing tool for tubing to make a flair on the end to hold the rubber dust boot in place. I think the tube size is bigger than common lines at the parts store, but I had...

Re: Early Ford juice brake question.

Are you talking about the grease catch cans? Early are round, after about 37? they are square. And, your backing plates appear to be 39-41, or at least 39 and up as they are hydraulic. Got nuts...

Re: Model B Ford 4 cylinder identification

Re: What is the correct size bolt for "35 engine pan

Thats a shame that the rebuilder was not sharp enough to use the original ford bolts.
They have a thicker head, and are of better quality steel than what you can buy today

Re: Solenoid clicking. Won't start

Starters are not too complex, and original fords are quite good. Take yours apart, if it only needs bushings and brushes its not a big deal to do yourself. If not, surly there must be a rebuilder or...
