Re: Installing Lebanon Bonney ‘28 roadster top
You do need those instructions. I don't think I have my old ones. You will need stainless steel staples so there's no rust, and a powerful staple gun. There is a good Synders youtube video of...

Re: Dead Starter
Put it in third gear and push the car backwards. If it won't go back, push harder.

Re: Changing coolant for the winter
If you know an older model a owner who always ran just water in the summer, make sure they get protected from freezing up. Some people just don’t feel like going out into the garage and have a lot of...

Re: Radiator Rodding Out
Tough job. You might find a shop that would do it. The problem with the A radiator is that a lot more wants to come apart when you are taking the top tank off.
If you still want to try it yourself,...

Re: overheating
Next time you get it warm, take the cap off and lug it in third gear. If you see bubbles, it is your head gasket or worse. Good luck.

Re: Starting Issue - Need Ideas!
Drive a nail into the crimp between the wires of the cable and the negative battery connector. Corrosion can get in there and fool you. Either crimp it a lot more or use the nail trick.

Take it on longer and longer trips and your confidence will build to the point that you are ready to drive it to Chicago. Just an old saying. Have fun.

Re: 29 coup rad
Sounds like your shell is being held high by something. The radiator fill collar, where the cap goes on, should stick up, well above the shell surface. Good luck.

Re: Coolant level
You should not have to add coolant very often. If it keeps going away, you have a problem.

Re: Over Heating
90% of cooling problems are caused by a plugged radiator. 90 % is just my number.
Don’t fight all the band aids. Buy a new core and enjoy your car.
