Valve Adjustment on a Miller head

I just got my 30' Tudor running. It had a Miller Hi-Speed head installed (OHV conversion). I checked the valve clearances and set them at .012 as recommended. With the engine running there is a lot of Clackety-clackety noise like the valves are too loose! Does anyone have experience with this setup and what valve clearance do you recommend? The engine runs fine otherwise.
