Although the shorter tube at 4-1/2" is the most popular they did come with the longer depending upon the intake manifold. The 35-36 restoration book explains the difference in the intake manifolds...

Re: Replacing, refitting and reaming new throttle shaft bushings in Strombergs

Re: 1941Ford 1/2 Ton Pickup front shock links-help to identify

You may consider why the old front links appear so bad. Was the front end, when raised, moving the shock past it's limits? Neither the shock or the link are made to withstand that kind of...

Re: 1941Ford 1/2 Ton Pickup front shock links-help to identify

Re: Clutch pedal return spring '40 passenger

The loop winds up inside the spring convolutions. The convolutions end connects to a small hole in the frame cross brace directly to the rear of the clutch pedal.

Re: 40 gearset in a 46 pu case

If you have a used 81A main shaft and want to use it I suggest pulling out the small locating pin and replacing it with a new pin.

Re: 39 Ford deluxe can't remove cam

The pressed on gear does not have a retainer to remove. Suggest drill small holes on the gear where it attaches to the cam to release the broken cam gear.

Re: Nice forty Ford

Both the heavy duty and the accessory oil bath air cleaners catch a lot of dirt! Plus they add a very light vapor of oil to the air.
