'37 Fan Belt
I need the NAPA/Gates fan belt number for my stock '37 Fordor. The NAPA guys got me a Gates one that was the correct length but much too wide and had large teeth on the inside. I returned it and got one from a vendor. This one looks like a cheap Asian one and smells funny so I am afraid to use it for anything but a spare.
Thanks for your help. Robert Last edited by Robert/Texas; 05-20-2014 at 07:14 AM. Reason: Thanks and signature |

Re: '37 Fan Belt
I bought a Ford Script fan belt for my stock 1937 Fordor from Joe's and had NO problems with it.

Re: '37 Fan Belt
Thanks Tony. I think I found out why I got the wrong one from NAPA. Their website only lists a #TR24538 for "Truck & Bus V-Belt". I was hoping to find on locally.

Re: '37 Fan Belt
You may try a Dayco 23530 which should be 11/16" wide, the NAPA number
is 25-24534. Bob |

Re: '37 Fan Belt
Thanks Bob. I'll call the NAPA store and order it and then bring the old belt to the store so I can see if it matches it. They are good about taking things back.

Re: '37 Fan Belt
According to my 1941 Gates Fan Belt and Radiator Hose Guide, Gates 666 for the normal passenger cars. 628 or 625 for Police cars and 636 and 633 if you have a McColloch Supercharger. Rod
