I'm having a hard time telling if the rear axle is full float or tapered axle style.
Lots of modifications in front of the firewall.

Definately not the '34 and later full floater. The FF has a large flange on it's face and also the wheel's bolt circle changed at that time. Cool truck!

The most enjoyable vehicle I have ever owned was a 1948 Seagrave open-cab pumper with the small (468ci) Pierce-Arrow V12. It's on the left in the picture. It was so much fun, I bought the '74 on the right, mainly because it had a water cannon.

Shocker, the radiator cap is gone. That was probably the first thing to disappear. That would be a cool start.

Hood and radiator shell are the '33 model versions. The rest of the front end is '32, including the fenders.

David G,

This may be a silly question, but what is the difference between '32 and '33 or '34 truck fenders? As always, I value your input.

Both 1932 front fenders, and 1933-34 commercial front fenders lay flat on the top of the frame. As the frame profiles are very different the fenders are different to match the frame.

The easiest to spot difference for someone who isn't intimately familiar with the nuances in shape is that the '33/34 have an additional bump on the frame rail flange approximately where the radiator is located. The '32 fenders are smooth in the same area.

And the other giveaway is the location of the hole near the front on the flange of the fenders which also shows up in itslow's photo. The hole in the '32 fender is in the center of the flange while that in the '33-'34 fenders is nearly off the flange to the outside.
