Unhappy removing and repairing 1934 Ford rear end

I have a 1934 ford roadster that locked up in the rear end due to no oil in the differential. I would like to tackle this job myself but need some expert advice on how to go about pulling the rear end and replacing gears etc. It has an enclosed drive shaft.
Or maybe I should be looking for someone with the expertise to do the repair for me. I live in Longmont,CO
Thanks for any advice you guys can give me.

Theodore, I have not had one apart but pulling one out of car is not difficult assuming you are mechanical and have the tools. you would need to un bolt rear spring u-bolts, shock links and un bolt drive shaft tube at tranny. Im sure others will chime in with much more info for you. enjoy. Ken

The way most of us drive our cars a properly rebuilt rear end should last forever. I would pull the rear end and take it to someone rather than try to learn on it. Contact people in your local EFV8 Club (earlyfordv8.org) and see who is doing it in your area.

If you tackle this yourself be CAREFUL dealing with the rear spring unhooking-hooking up to the shackles as it can HURT you . Lotsa force there looking for an escape . This issue has been covered here B4 .
