I assume the restored trucks with chrome headlights and radiator shells are owner preference, they came black when new, right?

That's the way I understand it. Of course the guy that restored mine did the cowl band and rad shell (even though it's a 30 on a 31 truck) but left the headlights black. Go figure!

I believe there were "Deluxe" models of pickups and AA trucks that had stainless cowl bands (some w/cowl lights), stainless headlights and radiator shells.
