Default rattling fan pulley bearing

My 1928 truck has a rattling front bearing under the fan pulley. You can grab the fan and wiggle it excessively. Can i replace that bearing without having to take the whole front and radiator off. i ordered all new parts to replace the bearing, the felt and the washers, just not certain i can get the 4 blade fan off without having to dissassemble the radiator etc????

I've never been able to get a 4-blade off without removing the radiator. I don't think you can pull the water pump either. And I'd suggest you put a new 2-blade on during your rebuild.

I have removed a pump w/4blade with bottom of radiator attached but the rods and top hose must be removed. Did this in the middle of the mojave desert so I may have had great incentive. you can buy dummy stud/bolts to make the job easier next time.

be very careful that before you tilt your rad forward you check to make sure that you remove your licence plate so the mounting bolts don't damage radiater.

That may be why I could do the job, my car doesn't run a front license plate.

I had the same problem but it wasn't the bearing. Someone put a plastic fan on the WP and put a spacer behind the hub. Needless to say both the shaft and hub was wasted.
So is the fan wiggling on the shaft or is the shaft moving?
I bagged it all and went with an aluminum two blade fan and new water pump.
