Photobucket Posting problems
As Tom talked about over on the Ahooga site, seems as though Photobucket has changed their formatting and now it is a REAL pain in the rear to post pictures.
I haven't used them in quite a long time, but did in the past. Haven't posted very many pictures lately. What are you other guys doing? Where do you go to upload photos for Fordbarn? How do you do it? Thanks |

Re: Photobucket Posting problems
I wonder how messed up it will be to remove my pictures from photobucket and copy them to a new photo hosting site. I don't even see how to view my pictures in photobucket now because it times out before more than a few of my pictures come up. It sure is a mess.

It's a new format but has been working fine for me... No computer lockup or anything. I have always noticed that you need a fast Internet connection and a decent computer for it to load fast even with the old format |

Re: Photobucket Posting problems
Photobucket pictures posted in posts here never show up on my computer at work. The pictures downloaded per the FB directions always show up, but not the others.

Re: Photobucket Posting problems
I use Mobile photo bucket. And it is very simple. It's a free ap. I take a picture with my phone or can get it out of my email and save to phone. Just go to your camer roll through the photo bucket ap and touch the pic and it loads. Them just copy and paste the IMg number and your good to go.

Re: Photobucket Posting problems
I appears Photobucket is changing to a new format or something. It keeps bugging me to change to the new whatever. I am holding out until I am forced to change, then I will probably have the same problems as many other people here. I just hate it when email sites, photo sites, Ebay, "improve" their sites. Usually I find they mess it up with more mouse clicks required and other crappy things most people don't need. I wish they would leave things along, but I guess the IT people need jobs.

Re: Photobucket Posting problems
I have two photobucket accounts. One of them has been on the "new" format for months. The other I've left as it. I like the ability to compare the differences between the two in real time and not leave it to nostalgic mind to remember how it used to be.
Tom, sounds like you'd be good to start organizing your pictures into folders, which is easier with the new version. Things I don't like about the new version include the fact that you have to click the image to get a popup window with the various types of links. Also in the editing feature you can't adjust an image by minute degrees, just 90 degrees at a time. I have 6,400 images between the two accounts and can't imagine moving them to another service. So, I'll grin and bear this. -Tim |
