Default As a long time HAMBer, I find this new FordBarn.....

...very comfortable to navigate........I hated the old format that this board had........but maybe that's just me....

What I really like here is that you can go to a specific forum and find nothing but questions and info on that topic only.....

My interest is in Early V8's and I am happy that there is nothing else being talked about here.....

I wish that the HAMB was divided into special areas of interest within the overall context of *traditional rods and Kustoms*........there's too much off topic crap discussed there.........my $0.02

This has a familiar feel, no more scrolling down 10,000,000 ads looking for the "key" word this will be good as it fills up .

Yes, much easier to navigate. But I haven't found the discussions from the pre-reformatted period, are they still posted someplace here?

John,
Glad to see you got the hang of it. Wish that flathead was on my engine stand! Take care, Chuck.

I'm a HAMBer too, put have stone stock Fords and enjoy all pre 1942 cars. One feature I don't see here is the flag after a thread that you have posted a repiy to. Seeing the flag helps locate a thread that has an ongoing conversation. I hope all the past Ford Barn people sign up and post, this isn't a HAMB takeover IMO, just an improved system. Bob

In your "User CP", on the "Edit Options" page, enable the setting to automatically subscribe you to a thread in which you've posted. You can set it to subscribe w/o emailing upon new posts, if you wish. Subscribing to a thread will put a star in the icon that's to the left of the thread in the forum listing, allowing you to quickly determine in which ones you've posted (or manually subscribed).

That way you can look for in the sea of and .

i think there will be a lot of HAMBers finding their way over here too, now that it's so much easier to use. There will undoubtedly be a wealth of information from the original FB fellas. i am really looking forward to learning lots more, and i hope that most FB guys and gals make the jump.
