Tom, I missed you at Bonneville. I had my head down working on 170 all week.

Cool choice, seeing the back roads. Since it looks like you'll be in Nebraska don't fail to locate Minden Nebraska (S.W. of Grand Island ) . The home of Harold Warp's Museum. It is an extraordinary achievement of one man's copy of The Smithsonian. It as well includes much from prairie life. Going in the front door first thing is a large collection of early antique cars.

Just remembered. The billboards, if you see any, tout it as "Pioneer Village'.

I've been to this museum and was very impressed. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere, and I never would have gone there except it was highly recommended by several people. They have a lot of stuff, all of it very interesting. There is one caveat however. It has been 20 years since I've been there and it seems that the museum has fallen on hard times. Attendance is down and they had some tax problems with the state. I have read that they had a successful fund drive recently and have done some upgrades. If it is half what it was when I was there, it's still worth the visit.

A. Bones and Tubman - just left the Pioneer Village Museum - fantastic collection and I mean it had everything. Well worth the price of admission. It's now a foundation so they will hopefully be able to weather any future financial issues. If you line engines, planes, cars, trains, street cars,China, old general stores, fashion, you name I - it's there ....

Thank you very, very much for telling us about this place ....

Glad for ya! Keep wandering. If there is time in your budget, I always like to point to Cleveland OH. On the east end of town, in the University section, The Crawford Auto-Aviation collection, Western Reserve Historical Society. They had some 200 examples of early ( 1800's to pre-war ) autos. Including a previously discussed '36 Stainless Ford. If you go there, it won't be out of your way. It would become The Way.
