Default Looking for LED replacement bulbs for tail and cowl lights

Does anyone know of a good source ? I’m looking for 6 volt bulbs - recently bought a couple that are forward-firing only, and they are not satisfactory.

Thanks - JIm

That's what I use, try one in your dome light too.

LEDLites;
Negative ground Model T, 6 volt system;

Watch the voltage! I got one of the 1129 (single contact even pin brake light) that can be used from 6 up to 24 volts. At 6 volts it puts out very little light. The one I found further down the list is 84776 and is for 6 volts. I have not ordered one yet to try. The 1158 even pin double contact brake/tail seem to be fine but do seem to have some flutter when the standard bulb L or R turn signal is flashing (I have duel taillight with separate tail lights/brake lights from turn signals). Many of the bulbs they have listed are not polarity sensitive so can be used - or + ground. Get the ones that are rated for the voltage you are using. They do have a good description when you click on the ones you are looking at. The 5 I got were shipped unboxed in a padded envelope, keeps the shipping cost down and arrived safe.

Found the perfect bulbs - these work quite well for tail and cowl lights.

Are you running 12 volts? Those are the 1129 bulbs I was talking about.

No - running the stock 6 volt system.

I ordered 2 of those in 'warm' white for the taillights. Had a pair of bright white before, but fewer SMD chips. Didn't look right to me. Warm white is supposed to mimic incandescent light. We'll see. These are 6-24 volt bulbs, may dim with 6 volt battery-only due to harness/switch resistance. 6V doesn't leave much overhead for their built-in regulators.

Also have same size 6 volt amber bulbs in the cowls for turn signals (w/ 2-bulb headlights).

I ran the 1129 shown directly off a good battery for my test. 1129 would be for a stand alone brake light in brightness, the one I tested at 6V was more in the dim tail light range.

Actually, the bulb I mentioned is too long for the cowl lights, but great for the tail light, and, if ordered in red, great for the brake light - even behind the amber lens - it’s I’ll lights up as bright red.

Did you do headlights & tail lights too? Are you 6 volt?
Any insight appreciated. I'm in the research phase. I'd like to settle on what is brightest for 6 volt. I'm currently getting my '30 fine tuned. Lights are next on my list.
As of now, I have (1) functioning light. A cowl light. Wife is tired of holding spotlight out the window when I drive! Lol.

I have not ordered it yet. Lots of other stuff going on, not just C-19. Plus not a lot of "play money" right now.
