Default Need neutral

Getting ready to transport 1923 T. Can not get tranny to find neutral. Head is off so no compression, but I would rather not have it roll onto transport in gear. Any suggestions? Transmission needs rework anyway, so I am just looking for quick interim disconnect.

have you tried to pull handbrake lever back till it is straight up — just before it starts to apply parking brake.
or block low pedal down 1/2 way
when I drug mine out of storage it had a lot of drag and it took a little time to get the clutch to release, I took off the transmission cover and squirted thin oil directly into the clutch (and on the bands), that freed it up.

Thanks. Also occurred to me that I could back off on the low band adjuster and allow band to slip.

Unless the pedals are pressed to the floor, the bands should be slipping anyway. Depending on if the clutch disk are stuck, the engine may just have to turn. Even with good adjustment, there is going to be some drag on the clutch disks when in neutral.
The other option would be to take the keys out of the rear wheels and reinstall the wheels, so they roll without trying to roll the engine over. This is not the best way but has been done in the past. You will need a hub puller and big hammer.
