Gas resistant paint for tank?
I want to spray (rattle can if possible) my gas tank before putting it back in place. Is there a rattle can 'black' that will withstand some gas spillage? Possibly Tractor Supply or similar outlet?

An epoxy would probably be the most durable

Re: Gas resistant paint for tank?
Do what Ford did. Use lacquer to paint the tank. It is fuel proof. Ford found that out when the gas tank was cowl mounted on the Model A where overfilling and ripping was a sure thing.

Re: Gas resistant paint for tank?
We buy lacquer in rattle cans for use on parts exposed to gas.
