Question to the every one either in the US or here in Australia, I'm looking for some new wheels for the old girl, this has the standard wide 5 pattern of the day and just quietly I like that becasue its a little different, but I want some wider rims and want to go a little taller in the tyre so shes not reving so hard, I'm having issues getting the wheels modified localy and was wondering if there is any one making reproduction wheels in standard offsets but 6" wide (if I could get 5" & 6" I would be in heaven)

thanks

Mike

You could get the 750R16 tires. They are a couple inches more in diameter than 600 16 as follows from the Coker website:
600 16 28.36 inches
750R16 31.45

This would reduce rpms by 11%. The 750R16 would still fit and give you a little bit of a big/little tire effect if you kept the 600 16 on the front. I have 700R16 on the back of my otherwise stock Model A and 215R70 16 on the front both with 35 Ford wheels. I rather like the look.

The Mitchell OD comes both in 26% and 36%. In flat Texas I went with the 36% for my 36 woodie with 3.78 rear end. I will give it it's first spin in a few days. In a hilly section I might have got the 26%.

Here is a picture of my Model A:https://sites.google.com/site/mrtexa...eted=%2F36belt

On my 36 I went with 600r16 on the front and 650r16 on the back. I got the back two tires for half price or I would have used 600r16 all the way around.

Hey guys heres another newby question

I have a headlight out, sounds simple enough, I've never had the headlights out of one of these, so before I stuff a surround I thought I'd ask is there a trick to removing the surround and lense?

Thanks in advance
