Default Marvel/ Allstate carb mixture settings

Trying to establish a range for the mixture screw and GAV opening turns @idle. Understood it may vary but curious about others' experiences.
The GAV is happy at about 3/8 to 1/2 open at idle. The idle screw is super sensitive @ about 1/4 open with a new needle and 5.5 " air filter.

When I had mine on ( need to put it back on) I could only start it with the GAV open one full turn and then close it totally down once running. The idle mix screw did not seem to make much difference but I had a different screw in the body and need to put in an original.
