Default Steering Box Rebuild

Anybody dealt with Lares Mfg. (or anybody else) on s box rebuild? If so did you send them the box with the steering wheel shaft still attached or did you have to disassemble the box to separate the shaft from the worm gear?

Great company. Call first and explain what you want done. Can't beat their turn around.

Thanks, Angle. I've heard good things about them. The reason I asked this question was because the box and shaft must be removed from the car as an assembly but their photos show only the box w/o the shaft. If I separate the shaft and ship them just the box for rebuild then I'd have to open the newly rebuilt box to reinstall the shaft, risking screwing up their settings. I'll call them tomorrow and see what they say.
