Torque for rear axle nut on 36 ford car???

A Lot! You'll pucker its over 200lbs...
This is what I do. Make sure your taper is clean, no grease or anything between the surfaces [others may go into detail about matching the surfaces] nice clean and square keyway. I only have a torque wrench that goes to 150lbs so I go all the way with that , then go to the next cut in your castle nut. If you can go further than that youre a better man than me.. Good luck!

If you get up to 180 or just north of it, you'll be fine. It can make one a bit nervous to torque something that is as old as it is and not think it'll not strip out.
