Default Distributor and cam issue

I recently bought 3 distributor rotors from 3 different suppliers - all 3 rotors appear identical, except for the small numbers on the inner surface of the rotor...which I believe are injection molding machine numbers.

All of the rotors are a loose fit on two different distributor cams I have; the tab on the rotor that fits into the cam notch is too small, resulting in some fairy significant play between the cam and rotor.

I have one much older rotor which is a very snug fit on the cam.

Has anyone else encountered this, and, if so, do you have a simple solution to remove the play between the two parts ?

Thanks - Jim
