Default Greasing a front spring on a 39 pickup

I'm almost ready to drop the old truck on of his stands after 9 months. I'm greasing the center bolt area with the mounted grease fitting. Mike was kind enough to make new one for me. In front the grease goes in. Dumb Q: keep pumping until the grease squirts out where? This is a NOS spring set from Mr. Carpenter.
On the rear fitting the grease does not past the hollow connector piece.
