Default Re: 1929 Sport Coupe Rear Window Trim Screws

It could be different each time a person fits one due to differences in the glass & channel thickness and top material thickness that may be encountered. There is sort of a fine line between having it seated properly and bottoming out the screws. A person has to be careful with that due to the possibility of damage to the frame if the screws are pushed to hard at the bottom of the thread depth. It would pay to have longer screws to start with then shorten them as needed during the process so that all makes perfect sense to me. If original screws are still usable then a person would still have to be careful due to possible difference in replacement glass and top materials from original.

I just went thru the same thing with my Sport Coupe. I finally called Snyders and they had some. Not 1 inch log but worked for me. Very reasonable price. Not shown in catalog.
