WW2 Ford built a LOT of vehicles/ engines. All qualify for the Early V8 Club. My avatar is '42 Canadian Ford. Newc

Man , that brings back some memories, We had on of those in NZ when we were kids , they were know as Bren Gun carriers, that thing would go any where.
I would love one now ,but for sure I would not be able to use it like then

Yes Lawrie, you probably had the Canadian version known as the Bren Carrier , with a steering wheel, whereas here in the US most were the T16 universal carrier, which steers with 2 levers. Some other differences between them, but basically similar machines. I had 2 years ago, one fairly good original with a stuck motor that I never got on the project list, and another that was all stripped down for a logging rig that ran and we had lots of fun with it. Both were sold to a man from Georgia in about 2000.

The things we did then, My younger brother took it to the youth club dance, did some spins outside the hall and got chased by the local copper in his Vauxhall victor police car, needless to say. my brother got away, but the copper was around home the next morning.
Dad was not impressed.
